The first shot fired in The God War happened not on Earth, but on a distant planet called Hexidari V. Two twins, Strivanian the Quillis god of science and Melancholik the Quillis god of despair, were attacked by Kali of the New God Pantheon. With his brother Strivanian murdered during the attack, Melancholik mind-controlled his entire planet in a fit of rage. Investigating the scene, the Nebulous Nights arrived to break the civilians from the gods control and easily conquered Melancholik in a hand-to-hand fight.
